Don't Sweat The Small Stuff....

This is a great book! Many years ago, we had a Secret Santa gift exchange at my work. I received this book as my gift. Little did I know that this book would have such a positive impact on me. I read this book and noticed that I started becoming more relaxed and let go of things that didn't matter or that I was blowing out of proportion (which is easy to do).

Over the years, I have kept this book lying around. I pick it up from time to time to refresh myself on great but simple words of wisdom. We all know how to make our lives more peaceful but sometimes it is easier said than done. This book puts it all into perspective. It is a very easy read and will stick with you.

My brother and his family came to visit us this past Thanksgiving. My brother is a great guy but is a little "high strung" which he will admit. I had this book in a book rack in the guest bathroom. Little did I know that he was reading it each day he was here. He comes out to tell me one morning that he really loves this book and that he realizes that he really needs to NOT "Sweat the Small Stuff and It's All Small Stuff." Now, my brother is not one to read books or at least ones like this. I was so moved by his epiphany that I purchased him the book online and timed it so it would arrive when he got back home. He recently updated me on how well he is doing and how peaceful he is starting to feel. Yay! :-)

One of my old supervisors gave me that book--I guess he was trying to tell me something!

ohkeeka - funny you said that about your boss giving you that book. My boss at the time (as a secret santa - but I knew her handwriting ;-) gave me that book too! Haha! I guess they were trying to tell us something. It worked! :-)

I have this book... and MANY others. I read & re-read them time & time again. We all do need a refresher on some things. & it really is easier said than done; to "not sweat the small stuff" ;-)
