Pacific Rim Salmon
Here is an amazing recipe for a marinade that is excellent on salmon. Enjoy!
2 (12 - 14-ounce) pieces of salmon about 1 inch thick. (Serves 4)
Marinade:
1/2 cup of soy sauce
1/2 cup of rice wine vinegar (I use roasted garlic rice wine vinegar)

Movie Review - "2012"

I don't go to the movie theater very often because I love watching movies at home. With this said, sometimes it takes me a little longer to see blockbuster hits than most. My husband and I have a roku device that we have connected to our Netflix account. We LOVE it! You can select movies and watch them on demand. I put this movie 2012 in our movie library a long time ago. For what ever reason we didn't watch it until recently. All I have to say is WOW! This was one of the best movies for special effects (if not the best) that I have ever seen.

Relax and Rejuvenate

Life goes by pretty fast. If you don't stop to relax every once in a while you might just miss it! :-)
One of my favorite things to do is to get a soft blanket, my sweet puppy dogs, a good book, some lemonade and curl up in a hammock under the trees. Just hearing the wind blow, the birds chirp and the sounds of nature relaxes me. It centers my core and rejuvenates my soul.

Blackened Shrimp I love spicy food and I love trying new things in the kitchen. I came across this awesome recipe for Blackened Fish. Basically, it is a recipe for a mixture of spices that makeup the blackening process. I played around with it on different foods and found it to be great on fish, chicken, scallops and especially on shrimp. I haven’t tried it on oysters, crab or lobster yet but I am sure it will be yummy. That is the great thing about this spice mix. It is great on almost anything.
