Simmering Sunday - The Perfect Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Ever wonder how perfect chocolate covered strawberries are made? You see them in a bakery store windows or served at a party and they look divine. Try to make them at home with just some melted chocolate and you'll quickly find out that they don't turn out as pretty as you'd like them to.

They are quite easy to make, you just need to know exactly what ingredients to use. Here ya go...

 Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Ingredients:
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips or chocolate blocks (* Note: You can substitute white chocolate or dark chocolate if you'd like)
3 tablespoons heavy cream
12 long-stemmed strawberries

Preparation:

• Melt the chocolate and cream together in a bowl set over simmering water until just melted.
• Stir and remove from the heat.
• Dip each strawberry in the chocolate and set aside on waxed/parchment paper to dry.
